Featured Business of the Month:
24/7 Emergency Identification Support Services
for Horses, Riders and their families
Whether you ride professionally, like to compete, or just ride for fun, you owe it to yourself, your horse and to others to Ride Alert!
Ride Alert provides a simple 24/7 online means to identify you and your horse, and to record your medical and emergency contact details for later use by those that may need them, in the event of an accident or illness.
CentralOregonTrailHorse.com is proud to announce that Ride Alert, which provides 24/7 emergency identification support services for horses, riders and their families, is supporting CentralOregonTrailHorse.com thru it’s new affiliate program. Originally from the UK, Ride-Alert USA is based in Virginia and is part of the AlertID Group, which has been providing identification support services for over 15 years.
To learn more about the service or to register please use this link to go to the RideAlert website. (Note: Only registrations via this link will result in supporting CentralOregonTrailHorse.com)
As exhilarating as horse riding can be it also has risks that come with it. These risks not only affect the riders themselves but the friends and family left at home as well. Developed to provide peace of mind for riders and their families; Ride-Alert is an identification service that provides visible identification products for riders, horses and property, there is also the added comfort of having a 24/7 Emergency Support Team on call and ready to assist in any emergency situation.
In the event of an emergency those first on the scene will see the riders visible Ride Alert wristband and call our 24/7 Incident Response Center using the Incident Number clearly displayed on the wristband. The Incident Response Center will request the wristbands Unique ID to identify the person in question so as to relay the appropriate medical information to those on the scene. They also contact the member’s next-of-kin and family with details of the incident, the caller’s name and phone contact details and anything else that helps the member and family to be reunited.
When you register with Ride-Alert you will be asked to fill in a detailed profile about yourself which can include your contact, next of kin and medical information as well as a crisis plan to be carried out in emergencies. This information can be accessed by the Emergency Support Team through a unique ID number on your Ride-Alert products and relayed to the emergency services if necessary. This information could prove vital if you are involved in an accident, especially if you have any medical conditions or allergies to any medication.
You can also include information about your horses, your stable location, contact details and who should be informed if your horse is found, as well as valuable property which can be identified by using our Hat & Property Badges.
This concise profile can be updated online as your details change so you know that the most recent and relevant information is available. If you don’t want to purchase any of the Ride-Alert products right away, or you want some extra peace of mind, you have the option to print out an A4 copy of your profile, which includes an ID card, that can be carried around with you. Additionally, this profile can be sent by email to your riding school, instructor, event organizers or any other person who might require your information.
No one wants to be involved in a horse riding accident but unfortunately, ambulances are called to riding accidents all too frequently each week. By joining the Ride-Alert you are allowing yourself to be identified quickly and for the emergency services to learn of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect your treatment. It also means your family can be informed as soon as you’re found rather than being left worried at home.
CentralOregonTrailHorse.com was created as a free service to our equestrian community. To help cover costs I have chosen to fund the site through paid advertisements. This is one of those paid advertisements.
